International Village Project - mezinárodní vzdělávací projekt pro české studenty

INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE Project

Registrace k účasti na projektu je snadná. Stačí pouze předložit 2xA4 za skupinu účastníků.

Organizace se obrací na nadšené, kreativní učitele, kteří by se se svými školou povinnými žáky ve věku 14 až 17 let rádi zapojili do projektu, přičemž tito učitelé musejí znát angličtinu přinejmenším na takové úrovni, aby byli schopni komunikovat s organizátory.

Studenti různých národností se díky projektu setkají v hotelu v Chorvatsku nebo na Slovensku, aby zde strávili týden účastí na řadě různých aktivit (workshopy Aj, sportovní aktivity, umělecké a tvůrčí aktivity, výlety (aquapark) interkulturní aktivity). Všechny tyto aktivity budou vedeny rodilými mluvčími z Velké Británie, Kanady, USA či Austrálie. Projekt tedy umožní účastníkům být v kontaktu s rodilými mluvčími a zároveň aktivně používat angličtinu při komunikaci s ostatními účastníky.

My name is Eveline and I represent Non Govermental Organisation which aims at integrating and educating teenagers from countries of Europe. We are the organizers of The INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE Project ( www.internationalvillage.eu ) through which participants will have a chance to meet their peers from other countries and make new international friendships. It will enable them to get to know the cultures of other nations. The project will also make them more open-minded and tolerant and will show them that they are not much different from their peers from other countries, and that although they speak different languages they are very much alike.

There is no bureaucracy in our project . Only 2 x A4 documents are required to register a group … Which is a great difference when compared to ERASMUS Plus or other EU projects.

We’d be grateful if you helped us spread the info about the project and passed that to teachers, schools, language organizations and anyone that may be interested in the Project.

We are looking for teachers willing to take part in the project together with their students in our unique project called INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE. Ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, creative teacher working at school, where teenagers aged 14-17 years old attend. The teacher must speak English well enough to communicate.

We started the Project in 2011 with 150 students from 6 countries.

In 2018 we hosted 1150 students from 16 different countries.

So far we’ve hosted 5500 students from 26 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Vietnam and Ukraine

The main idea of the Project is:

Students from different countries meet in a hotel located in Croatia or Slovakia and stay there for 7 days. During that time they take part in different integrating activities  like: English workshops, sport activities, art activities, trips to nearby attractions (among others water park “Aqua City” in Poprad and Cracow in Poland) and other intercultural activities. All the activities are led by native speakers from UK, Canada, USA and Australia.

The INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE Project is an excellent opportunity for students to speak English with their peers from other countries and gain new international friendships.

Apart from creating an excellent opportunity for teenagers to speak English, our project benefits participants in something more important … In the age of computers, tablets, smartphones,  virtual reality and social portals we bring students together, giving them a chance to meet face to face with their peers from other countries to communicate, cooperate and socialize.

We believe that participation in this project will make the teenagers more tolerant, and help them overcome all prejudices against  other races and nations, that they will respect other nations’ cultures and other people’s opinions.

Another thing worth to mention is that participation in the project doesn’t involve any bureaucracy. To register a group it is enough to send only 2 documents, which is a big difference when compared to Comenius or Erasmus.
